A subluxation is a vertebrae or joint that becomes misaligned or moves out of its normal position. Subluxations can be caused by a wide variety of issues ranging from a minor slip, traumatic accident, or repetitive stress. When a subluxation occurs, it interrupts the impulses sent from the brain to the rest of the body.
When a subluxation remains untreated, the spine and surrounding structures such as discs can begin to degenerate. This degeneration becomes more difficult to reverse as time goes by the surrounding muscles, nerves, and bones begin to compensate. The longer this goes on, the ore complicated it is to treat.
